The Admissions Edge

Taking the stress out of your college
application process

The College Application process is becoming more and more competitive and pressure-filled for parents and students. The number of applications has continued to increase, up over 20% in the last couple of years, and acceptance rates are declining across private and public schools. No longer are grades and test scores alone enough – a student has to stand out and begin building who they are earlier in the process.

This makes it even more important to get ahead of the college process to find the right fit school and differentiate yourself to admissions counselors, which is where I love to help students and their families. As a lifelong educator and now Independent Educational Consultant, I’m here to help you with:

  • Navigating high school classes and requirements
  • Building a list of schools that fit the student
  • Helping the student stand out with activities, volunteer opportunities, honors, and awards
  • Editing impactful personal and supplemental essays
  • Preparing and practicing for personal college/university interviews
  • Working through the Common Application sections
  • College and University Transfer Applications

Each year, I work with a limited number of high school and transfer students as their college admissions consultant, guiding them towards colleges and universities where they can truly thrive.

I am excited to share that I recently published 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘥𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘌𝘥𝘨𝘦: 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘗𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘰 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘦—𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘌𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺, 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘤, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵: 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘺 𝘍𝘪𝘵𝘴.

The book offers a calm, practical, and step-by-step guide for families navigating the college application journey, with an emphasis on thoughtful planning, personalized strategy, and reducing stress throughout the process.
